Our journey to parenthood has been nothing short of a miracle, and we owe it all to Dr. Tran and the incredible team at Spring Fertility. After being told by other doctors that donor eggs were our only option, we were devastated. But from our first meeting with Dr. Tran, we knew we were in the right hands. He assured us that there was hope, and his honesty, expertise, and compassion carried us through each step of the process.Dr. Trans commitment to achieving the best outcome for his patients is evident in every decision he makes. He introduced us to calcium activation, a technique that made all the difference in our case. Our embryos had never developed beyond day 3, but under Dr. Tran’s care, we finally saw the progress we had only dreamed of. The state-of-the-art lab at Spring Fertility, combined with Dr. Tran’s skill, gave us the highest chance of success.We traveled all the way from Chicago to San Francisco to work with Dr. Tran, and it was the best decision we could have made. The kindness and support from the entire Spring Fertility team made us feel like we were more than just patients—they made us feel like family. Today, we are overjoyed to hold our beautiful baby girl in our arms, and we know this wouldn’t have been possible without Dr. Tran. Im a resident physician at a nearby hospital system and I chose Spring Fertility because their published internal success rates are higher than the industry average. Dr Angie Wang was my primary provider, but because of my resident schedule, I ended up seeing 5 different providers for my egg freezing. She coordinated the whole thing effortlessly, and if I did have any concerns (since I didnt see her in person that day), she would call me via phone even without my asking her to. She was wonderfully flexible, adaptable, and communicative. I even left town for one weekend, and she advised we shift my start date to accommodate that. In the end, my egg retrieval results were 2x what I was hoping for. All I had to do was trust Dr Wangs process.One thing that I struggled with was with the nursing staff/finance department staff. Sometimes I found it hard to get a direct answer from them (like when might my anticipated procedure time be, or can I get an itemized receipt for insurance reimbursement purposes). The staff immediately responded when asked a question, but sometimes they would defer giving me a real answer, or defer giving me a receipt. All the doctors I met are great though! They also have a special discount for resident doctors!Addendum 7/1/24: the finance department did not give me a correct itemized bill so now Im on hold for reimbursement.Addendum 7/2/24: they got back to me with an updated receipt and were very responsive. My reimbursements have gone through without any issues!

We had an exceptional experience with Spring Fertility in San Francisco (1 Daniel Burnham Ct) under the care of Dr. Kim.After going through the entire IVF process with them, we are now the ecstatic parents of a beautiful three-week-old girl.The IVF journey at Spring Fertility was incredibly smooth and seamless. The staff is outstanding—always punctual and professional. We particularly appreciated the early morning appointments at 7 AM, which made it easy to fit into our work schedules.The administrative team is top-notch, consistently prompt in responding to our messages and addressing any questions we had. We worked closely with Bridget, who was fantastic—both highly professional and wonderfully friendly.We wholeheartedly recommend Spring Fertility to anyone considering reproductive services.

I came on a friends recommendation, and its been 10/10 on all fronts. Ive had a smooth, thorough, caring, and very successful experience egg freezing at Spring. Their pricing is transparent, the care is superb, and their team highly expert. The entire team is very caring and supportive, does not take their job lightly, and most importantly, are extremely capable and expert at what they do. I feel like in my research, I discovered many fertility clinics were volume-driven and treated the business of egg freezing with much less care. Springs team helped give me so much confidence, from their level of assistance, communication, support, and expertise along the entire journey. I think they are the best in the city of SF, if not one of the top 1-2 in the Bay Area. I have no hesitancy recommending Spring to my closest friends for their fertility solutions. And I am not always an easy customer to please.

Im grateful I chose Spring Fertility formy egg freezing process! Doctor Pasternak and the entire Spring care team were so wonderful to work with - Spring really helps to make the process easy to understand, quick to respond to any questions or order meds (Alto Pharmacy is a great too!), and overall just made it a seamless and much better process than I was expecting. They also work hard to make it financially feasible, which I appreciated. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed in the ability to work with the team since going through the egg retrieval and embryo procedure. That was all great, but since then…I have been trying to setup a meeting to discuss options post-embryos and cannot get a meeting. It’s been nearly two months since I reached out on messenger and the team keeps telling me they will call me to setup the meeting. They said since I worked with them in 2020 for the egg retrieval/ embryo procedure I am no longer a ‘patient’ (been over a year) and basically have to start over (and am back of the line)!!!!Since I spent a lot of money with this organization to go though the procedure, I would have thought when the time was right to use the embryos, I could at least get a meeting/appointment to figure out next steps.This is a very sensitive time and very frustrating that I cannot get a response that makes sense. Not sure how to move forward since this organization has my embryos….

I have had an amazing experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco/SOMA locations. Dr. Zore, her care team, and the wonderful nurses and admin staff are all so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Every appointment is right on time and so efficient, which is super important given the frequency of appointments during a retrieval and transfer cycle. The Salve app is extremely easy to use and I always receive a response from my care team almost immediately when I call or message via the app. The IVF process can be daunting but Dr. Zore alleviated so much of my stress and anxiety by taking the time to answer all of my questions, discuss treatment plans in depth, and give her honest opinion on different protocols, medicine, etc. Every ultrasound and procedure was completed by Dr. Zore so I had ample opportunities to check in with her and chat through my latest symptoms, questions, etc. Dr. Zore also made sure to call me to check-in regarding both good and less desirable news, which made me feel like I was always seen and heard as a patient. I highly recommend Dr. Zore and Spring Fertility!!

Best medical experience in my life hands down.Team is communicative. You get assigned a nurse and a person who handles administrative tasks as well. I have never seen this much attention to details in any other provider.They also have the highest success rates . I compared over 20 clinics in the Northern CA area.Best of the best!

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Pasternak and the entire care team at Spring during my egg freezing process. Every team member was knowledgeable and kind. Communication outside of appointments was mostly through their app, which was incredibly easy to use and had quick response rates. Could not recommend Dr. Pasternak and Spring more 💗🥚

My partner and I embarked on the IVF journey after a few losses most likely due to my age (40). My OBGYN at Kaiser recommended Spring and my experience with them was incredible. From egg retrievals (we did 4!) to embryo creation to genetic testing to embryo transfer - the entire journey I felt cared for, respected, and informed. I worked with Dr. Dovey for all 4 retrievals and grew to trust her explicitly. My blood draws proved to be difficult because of my veins and I enjoyed being on a first name basis with the team (special thank you to Monique for taking care of me so well in my blood draws!). I never met Mel in person but her quick responses through the app and thorough answers to all of my questions was so helpful. The process can feel really overwhelming but Spring breaks it down and truly guides you through the process. I absolutely recommend them. Oh, and we are now 10 weeks pregnant after our first embryo transfer implanted! Thank you, Spring!

Freezing your eggs can be such a stressful, emotional experience—but I’m so thankful everything went smoothly! My doctor and nurse team were so communicative and kind with me and I really felt taken care of., supported, and even celebrated. I knew exactly what needed to happen and when, and the injections weren’t as scary or painful as I was worried it would be. Looking back on my experience, I’m so glad I went with Spring! My friends went to other clinics and were frustrated with their care team, but thankfully my care team was there for me the entire team. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I had the privilege of working with Dr. Pasternak and her care team led by Sarah over the last 2 years. Very happy to share that we had a positive and rewarding experience throughout and are expecting our first child in August.Dr. Pasternak was a pleasure to work with from day 1. She made us feel so welcome and also genuinely provided care, support, and education about the entire IVF process. Knowing this first baby probably will not be our last, I hope when were ready to return we can pick up where we left off. :)

We completed three egg retrievals and a successful embryo transfer with Dr. Pasternak, and I could not recommend her more (in fact, I have referred several friends to her already). In every appointment, she demonstrated care for us as people and practicality about what our best options were to meet our goals. She remembered personal details about our lives and listened carefully when we had questions or doubts. Her staff is stellar as well; they were attentive to emails from us and empathetic when delivering all sorts of news to us on the phone. Were so grateful to Dr. Pasternak and her team!

I accompanied my daughter to Spring Fertility and Dr. Pasternak for an egg retrieval. It became the worst medically related experience of my life.My daughter was in severe pain in the recovery area for over 3 hours. Her pain was dismissed by Dr. Pasternak and the anesthesiologist Dr. Townsend.After more than 3 hours she was transported to the hospital by ambulance in hypotensive shock.She was admitted to the intensive care unit and was given multiple blood transfusions. She was in extreme pain.She was hospitalized for 6 days.After this experience I discussed what happened with Dr. Klatsky who is the clinic founder. He told me that it was a communication problem. I am a physician and practiced for almost 40 years and I can tell you that the problem was definitely not a communication problem. It was poor quality medical care.Please choose another doctor and another fertility clinic. I really hope to spare someone else from a major medical catastrophe.In response to the following reply from Spring Fertility asking me to email them regarding my concerns I have to add that this doubles down on their deceptive nature. They are fully aware that I emailed them multiple times and I spoke with Dr Klatsky on a video call. The following response just emphasizes to me that this clinic is running a money making business ,harvesting your eggs is just a way for them to harvest dollars. It bears no resemblance to the practice of medicine.

Dr. Pasternak and her team took such good care of me here. I came in for 1 round of egg-freezing, and while the whole thing is a roller coaster, the doctors here know what theyre doing. I felt they made the right calls for my body even when it didnt make my schedule happy, and glad they explained trade offs and we did was was best for my eggies. I am grateful for the recommendation my friend gave me, and pass on the good luck to others looking at this!

Very friendly staff and great doctors. Everything runs on a very timely manner and the app makes it all so easy. I worked with doctor Tran for my egg retrieval and he was able to retrieve 20 eggs in one cycle which was above the expected count. The procedure was so smooth and nurses and doctors were so friendly and make you feel so comfortable. I absolutely recommend this place

I give Spring decent marks after horrible, comparative experiences at RMA and UCSF. Spring isn’t perfect and I certainly had my moments of extreme frustration; infertility sucks no matter where you go. That said, I found spring overall has the best communication, best pricing in the area, flexibility, clean state of the art facilities - both SF locations and Oakland - and mostly have a staff willing to troubleshoot and try new things. I say this even when, after 2.5 years of treatment here and elsewhere, it didn’t work out for me. But (and this is no small thing in the world of fertility treatment) above all, when all was said and done, I felt those at Spring had on the whole listened to me and tried everything we could. I almost always saw a doctor and at the least was always given the option to schedule around seeing one instead of an NP (though the NPs are great as well).For comparisons sake - I had treatment at RMA SF first. I left after one cycle after getting the absurdly hard sell to switch to donor eggs before even giving a real chance to trying, by a tone deaf male doctor who (among other awful things) bizarrely boiled down my pursuit of motherhood to a desire to experience breastfeeding; something I had never even brought up to him. Still trying to figure that one out. I went to Spring next.After my wonderful doctor at Spring left the practice, I misguidedly transferred to UCSF as I went for a particular doctor who was recommended to me. She then left abruptly in the middle of my cycle without any notice whatsoever to go to RMA ironically. Didn’t matter though because I never saw or directly heard from her once during treatment in the first place. You can read more about my horrific one star warning (if I could give a zero I would) at UCSF on their google map entry.In sum, almost every doctor I encountered at Spring was kind and open - though be bold and advocate for yourself no matter what clinic you choose. USA doctors’ general default these days seems to be dismissive of their patients out of the gate, no matter the specialty.Will everything be perfect and smooth at Spring? Of course not, it certainly wasn’t for me, but with tangible comparison to two other clinics in SF, and especially with regard to pricing and packages, I don’t think most would regret choosing Spring. Based on my experiences alone, I’ve had three friends who all had different fertility issues choose Spring and all had decently positive experiences.Mostly, I hope I can save you/others the heartache and stress of troubleshooting through RMA and UCSF that I suffered through. I know there is so much conflicting information out there and this very personal journey is hard enough. Do yourself a favor and choose Spring.

I feel so blessed to have found Spring fertility in 2017. I loved everyone I have worked with (coordinators, nurses, doctors). They all gave me wonderful care and kindness through such a difficult time in my life. I am happy to report that I have two boys through IVF. I am especially grateful to Dr. Tran. He helped me create the family I have always dreamed of. He will forever be a hero in our family!

Absolutely stellar experience from the very beginning. Above all else, the attitude and professionalism of the staff stood out the most. In this tricky area of medicine where results cannot guaranteed, it’s important to feel supported, informed and heard. Spring definitely achieve that, and I’ll recommend them to anyone who asks.

This clinic makes every step of the process as easy as possible! Cant recommend it enough. The staff are kind, communicative, and on-top-of-it, which makes a confusing process feel simple. They have the appointment scheduling down to a science, and appointments are super fast and easy with minimal to zero waiting.Dr. Pasternak is a gem (shes supportive, down to earth, and I think shes so cool I low key want to hang out with her). Overall, Im super glad a friend recommended Spring for egg freezing.

We saw Dr. Zore and her care team after making the decision to seek help to grow our family. I underwent one successful egg retrieval and am now expecting our first baby in April after a successful transfer. Dr. Zore always made herself available and was clear in her guidance and communication while we were under her care. We had a great experience with Spring and highly recommend Dr. Zore and Spring Fertility!

Had a terrific experience with Spring and Dr. Kim. Start to finish, the process was clear, I was always able to get my questions answered, and the Spring team always handled my case with the utmost case. Could not recommend them any more highly.

I was under the care of Dr. Zore and her team. This was my fourth fertility clinic experience and finally a successful one. I underwent one egg retrieval and one transfer. The entire team was very clear about the process and made me feel secure. That does not happen at all clinics. Spring has done a great job at keeping their patients informed in a timely and caring manner. Dr. Zore is an absolutely wonderful doctor with a clear and caring communication style. I highly recommend Dr. Zore and Spring. They know what theyre doing and do it well.

I used Spring Fertility in NYC to freeze my eggs this spring. Special shout out to Dr. Catha Fischer who made what could have been a very awkward situation extremely comfortable and lovely. I felt completely cared for every step of the way. Wait times were non-existent, communication and reachability were excellent, waiting room snacks and coffee were top notch, the staff was so kind and put up with all my jokes and anxious humor. A completely wonderful, professional, and smart team! Will use again for all fertility needs! 10/10 would recommend but apparently on google there are only 5 stars, so 5 stars to Dr. Fischer and Spring Fertility!

Dr. Pasternak and everyone on her care team was exceptional through my IVF process. I started working with them in early 2020 and they were so amazing despite the uncertainty of early pandemic days.I don’t think I was the best patient because I had lots of questions and hormones haha. And for that reason I am beyond grateful that Dr. Pasternak and her team always met my anxiety with patience, compassion, and kindness. I’mI am happy to say that I just welcomed a perfect, healthy, baby boy in October 2021! There is no one I trust more with the IVF process than Dr. Pasternak and I will definitely return to her for my second baby.

We harvested 10 excellent embryo by the end of first trial. Great thanks to Spring, to Dr Tran. We try best to keep each of our treatments with Dr Tran, and the result is just a wonder!!!

I highly recommend Spring SF and Spring SV. I have been in these two clinics, and both are clean and comfortable. Dr. Tran’s team is very professional and they’ve got Yoshimi, the only PN who can speak Chinese. She is very helpful and makes me feel relieved.

We are so impressed with the personal attention we receive at Spring, from all of the members of the care team. They are responsive and present, we often feel like we are their only patients, even though we know they are incredibly busy! We have never once felt rushed, or like we were bothering them, with our late night calls and emails. They always took the time to listen to us, reassure us, and develop a care plan that was specific to our needs. And this starts with Dr. Minjarez. She is absolutely amazing - gifted at what she does and she truly cares.We also love the quality and serenity of the Spring offices and subtle touches. And we just love the convenience of the Oakland office! Even when we need to travel to the SF office for care, they work around our schedules.Highly recommend for same-sex couples! They treat everyone, in any situation, with the utmost respect and thoughtfulness.

I can’t say enough positive things about Spring Fertility! But first it’s important to understand our history. My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility about 4 1/2 years ago. We worked with another clinic for 3 1/2 years and went through to IVF and six embryo transfers with the previous, with no success. We also went through several inseminations and many other resources to try and become pregnant.We moved to California in January and we came to Spring Fertility as a last effort in our attempts to obtain a pregnancy through IVF, because it was clear this was our only option to become pregnant. We felt this too could be a similar outcome, as our several failed attempts before with our previous fertility clinic. However, we were blown away at how different the experience was. The caliber of the nursing staff and the care that Spring gave us was top quality and was immeasurably better than what we experienced prior! Dr. Tran really listened to my concerns what we have gone through in the past and was willing to try a more natural approach.Additionally, the resources that we had access to through Spring as far as communication, exploration, and the drug treatment plan were all top-notch! I previously had OHSS three times and was hospitalized with severe OHSS for a week, so I was afraid and had countless questions. My nursing team was extremely patient and knowledgeable, as well as Dr. Tran and I felt like I had a team of people that really cared and were truly fighting with me and my husband.There were many other notable things that we were impressed with, such as the locations of the clinics. They were perfectly positioned around the bay area so that we could easily access Spring. They were open or we had access to someone at the clinic every single day, 24 hours a day. And the main clinic in San Francisco was incredible! We were so impressed that we had full view of the embryologist magic. There is a bay window that looked into the hard work of the team of people who helped us get pregnant. The embryologist even came out and spoke with me and my husband an answered any questions that we had before the transfer. I have really never seen better care in any other facility!We only went through one IVF with Spring and from that IVF we chose our perfect little girl to be transferred. And through the very first transfer, WE ARE PREGNANT! We owe that ALL to Spring Fertility! We had our second ultrasound and she growing so fast and we couldn’t be happier! This clinic literally made our dreams come true! My husband and I truly believe in this fertility center.

We started care at Kaiser and it was a disaster. Even though I was going multiple times a month (sometimes a week) for 6 months, none of them could ever even remember my name. Based on a recommendation from a friend, I switched to Spring Fertility and met Dr. Klatsky. We just celebrated our daughters first birthday! Couldnt be happier with the care (and it really was care, not just treatment) that we received at Spring.

After several rounds of IUI at Alta Bates IVF, I made the switch to Spring Fertility for IVF. Spring is truly the model of what fertility care should look like for every woman trying to conceive. Dr. Minjarez is warm, knowledgeable, and patient. The clinic is staffed with incredible people (mostly women) at every turn. I have felt so heard, seen and cared for. My questions have been answered immediately and communication is frequent and easy, via email, text, phone and an easy-to-use patient portal. Both the City and Oakland offices are immaculately clean with spa-like bathrooms and complementary drinks and snacks. I actually look forward to my appointments with Dr. M and her team, whereas my my appointments at Alta Bates IVF were an exercise in confusion, desperation, and dread. If you are seeking fertility treatments in the Bay Area, save yourself time, money, and grief and call Spring.

I visited Spring Fertility the day after Christmas in 2017 with my then-boyfriend (now husband) Jake for a consultation due to my low AMH levels. My experience was traumatizing and spiraled me into a dark depression for months and to this day gives me severe body image issues. I saw Dr. Klatsky who confirmed my unexplained fertility after an ultrasound. In addition to shoving statistics in my face after the already devastating news, he insisted I was just fat and needed to lose weight and that I didnt in fact have PCOS. He mocked me for drinking a can of soda that I got in his own lobby (due to its sugar contents) and then ushered me into another room where a nurse gave us a 5 page paper for IVF treatments (we articulated we didnt have the money for IVF and would like to try IUI first) and consent forms before we were even ready to continue with procedures.Please work on your bedside manners and understand that women going through fertility issues, especially at such a young age (I was 24 at the time), are already struggling emotionally. Insulting my weight was unnecessary and I do not recommend this clinic to any of my friends or family in the area because of this experience.After moving home to Ohio to try to start our family, we saw another fertility specialist who properly diagnosed my PCOS and encouraged us to try IUI prior to jumping into IVF right away. We ended up getting pregnant with our miracle baby naturally the week we were supposed to start treatments. While my story has a happy ending, many do not. I hope this place has changed since my visit but wanted to provide an honest review (I was reminded when I received a recent email that I hadnt sent one in). Hopefully, this helps others on their infertility journey

I did a cycle with Spring Fertility with Dr. Tran in 2018. Here are the cons of Spring: 1) In general, Id summarize the approach there as false hope for anyone with fertility issues, Ill explain more below. 2) Dr. Tran does not have great bedside manners, explains only what you ask and would rather you simply trust what protocol he prescribes rather than help you understand what choices you can make and tradeoffs. 3) Spring Fertility has a solely medical approach to things, rather than holistically bringing in lifestyle changes, which Ive gone on to research myself and learned that your nutrition and lifestyle can affect fertility significantly, potentially just as much as the injections. So in summary, I think doing a cycle with Spring is essentially doing a cycle where you give yourself the least chances of success, without prepping your body, health, and without being able to talk through difference choices you can make. If you have normal fertility, this is likely fine, but if you have any fertility challenges or conditions and you need to optimize your chances with everything youve got, Spring Fertility is not for you.To elaborate on one 1) above and my experience of the cycle, I have stage 4 endometriosis and had an unsuccessful procedure retrieving 0 eggs, which is devastating. The ultrasound showed 3 follicles but apparently between the trigger and the retrieval, the eggs either died or were released. Since that cycle, I went on to do more research and have my cycle reviewed by 2 other clinics. Both clinics mentioned to add estrogen priming in a follow on cycle. While Dr. Tran suggested this for a follow on cycle, I wonder why he didnt try that in the first cycle since we were clear about my condition. Other clinics also suggested for someone like me with low egg count, we can check follicle count every month to see if there is a month with better follicle count and do the cycle then. Secondly, other doctors pointed out that I had a day 3 embryo freeze, but I learned that on day 3, you actually dont know if you have a viable embryo, it has not yet reached blastocyst, so in effect you would have had false belief that you had embryos frozen when in fact you have no idea if they are viable or not. Lastly, I learned a ton about other things that can help from other sources and clinics, whether that is acupuncture or nutrition. What I learned through all my medical experiences is see at least 3-5 doctors so you can learn as much as you possibly can, and that will help you truly make the choices rather than just see one doctor and trust him off the bat.Lastly, because my procedure did not retrieve any eggs and so the fees for the post egg retrieval part shouldve been refunded to me. Spring did not proactively do this. In fact, I only realized that I may be eligible for a refund a year later when I started looking into freezing again and reviewed my records. They then refunded $700. But if I did not proactively reach out, I wouldve never got that money back.I suppose I will end with some positives about Spring just so this is a balanced review. Again, if you have normal fertility and dont need to do everything you possibly can to increase your chances, this is as good of a choice as any. They do run an educational hour long session about IVF and egg and embryo freezing and that was well done. That is a free info session for anyone interested. The nurse was helpful as well. But I frankly was disappointed with the doctor.

I do not recommend this clinic. After I have done 3 IUIs at Spring I decided to go to another clinic. I wish I have done it before. The communication with Spring was not the best and I had a sense that the Doctors were always on a rush. I didnt receive the support I needed at Spring. I am glad I have switched to other clinic.

Dr Klatsky and the team were truly amazing. Very responsive and accommodating, they made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire process. Could not be happier for choosing Spring.
